Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may want to send their firstborn to an American school, new rumors have claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will welcome their child in the spring. And even though they still have a few years to decide on which school to send their baby to, there are already some speculations suggesting that it will be at an American school in the United Kingdom.

According to E! News, the royal couple want a more diverse education for their child, and Markle also wants her child to be fully aware of its American heritage. Markle was born and raised in the United States, but she moved to Toronto after she was cast as the lead star in “Suits.”

Over a year after dating Prince Harry, she decided to permanently move to London to be with her husband.

Meanwhile, there are also speculations regarding the specific school Markle and Prince Harry will choose for their child. Markle’s best friend, Misha Nonoo, attended the sister school of ACS Egham International in Surrey. The school is close enough to Frogmore Cottage, where Markle and Prince Harry will be residing with their future children.

Last month, it was also claimed that Markle and Prince Harry might decide to send their child to Eton if they will have a boy. Emily Hodgkin, a journalist for Express, all of the students at Eton board at the school, and the institution also uses different words to refer to some common terms.

If not Eton, Markle and Prince Harry may also opt to enroll their child at Gordonstoun, a boarding school where Prince Philip, Prince Charles, and Prince Andrew studied. Gordonstoun is reportedly more expensive than Eton.

Princess Diana and Prince Charles decided to not send their sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, to Gordonstoun so it is unclear if the Duke of Sussex will choose this school for his children in the near future.
