Meghan Markle is an official royal, but not everyone agrees that she is royal material.

A netizen took to Quora and asked if the Duchess of Sussex is royal material or not. The question garnered mixed reactions from both royal fans and critics, with some claiming that Prince Harry’s wife doesn’t qualify to be a royal.

“No, she is not IMHO,” one fan wrote.

“She lacks class, dignity, sophistication, old world finery and respect for traditional institution. This is not a new 'princess' role to play in a hit series 'UK Royals' and Harry is not her agent to this finer world production.”

The netizen went on to say that being a member of the royal family is not about wearing fancy outfits and constantly looking at the camera to create a stir. She hoped that Markle would focus on “being genuine.”

Christina Lundy, a former Sous Chef, believed that being royal material is far from Markle’s style. For her, the British people expects a number of things to be accepted as royal and Markle “has not filled the requirements.”

“I personally think that she is the farthest person the British had wished for Harry’s wife, and please don't say it because she is half black. Color has nothing to do with it,” Lundy wrote.

Deanna Eppers, who is in favor of the monarchy, also believed that Markle is not royal material at all. Eppers said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are becoming “self-centered and mean.”

She also pointed out how Markle stole the spotlight from Princess Eugenie twice. First, Princess Eugenie reportedly wanted to marry her longtime boyfriend in May 2018, but since Prince Harry has a higher rank than her, his marriage to Markle was scheduled first. Second, Markle stole Princess Eugenie’s thunder again in October when the latter was about to get married by announcing her pregnancy.

She added that Markle is competitive and will always go after Kate Middleton. For her, Prince Harry made a huge mistake in marrying a “social climber” and she hoped his second wife would be nicer.

Meanwhile, Sophie Oldfield is convinced that Markle has a narcissistic personality disorder. Oldfield said that her parents was diagnosed with the said condition and she was seeing all the signs and traits in the Duchess of Sussex.
