Meghan Markle did not sacrifice everything just to marry Prince Harry.

Many believed that the Duchess of Sussex made huge sacrifices just to have her happy ever after with Prince Harry. One royal fan took to Quora and asked if Markle was a victim after sacrificing everything just to marry her prince charming.

According to royal followers, it is not true that Markle gave up everything just to end up with Prince Harry. Eileen Wood believes Markle gave up many things but not everything.

“A lot of things that were important to her. But she did so with the understanding that her position as a member of the Royal Family would give her greater opportunities to promote her charitable works and the other things that she was doing as an individual. And she’s been doing that quite well, despite what the Rags, Racists, Haters, and Gullible People of the World would have you believe,” Wood wrote.

“Is she a victim? No. She’s not a victim. She’s too strong a person to be a victim.”

Catherine Branston, a staff nurse, also believes Markle didn’t sacrifice everything to marry Prince William’s younger brother. According to her, Markle knew what she wanted and she made sure that she would achieve it. Unfortunately, things did not work out as planned. There were plenty of people who warned her about marrying a royal, but she ignored it.

Markle’s former agent Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne revealed to The Sun, that she tried to warn Markle about the British press when she was still dating Prince Harry. Nelthorpe-Cowne told the former “Suits” star that ending up with a royal would end her privacy, but Markle declined to listen to her warning.

“I said, ‘This is serious. This is the end of your normal life, the end of your privacy – everything.’ But she just held up her hand and said: ‘Stop. I don’t want to hear any negativity. This is a happy time for us,’” Nelthorpe-Cowne recalled.

Earlier this month, Prince Harry’s polo friend Nacho Figueras said that Markle “gave up everything she had to marry the man she loves.” However, some weren’t convinced with Figueras’ statement.

One royal follower commented on the statement saying it was a joke because marrying the royal family enabled Markle to embark on her social climbing to a greater extent. Another netizen said that Markle had nothing much to give up because she did not have a family or career to begin with.
