Meghan Markle reportedly refused to listen when a friend tried to warn her about the British media.

The Duchess of Sussex has been hounded by the press since she dated Prince Harry. Things got worse after he married Prince William’s brother.

Markle’s former agent Gina Nelthorpe-Cowne said that she tried to warn the duchess about the British press, saying that it would be the end of her privacy. However, the former “Suits” star stopped her from speaking further and declined to listen.

“One day we were having lunch on the Strand in London and it was obvious it was getting very serious with Harry,” Nelthorpe-Cowne said.

“I said, ‘This is serious. This is the end of your normal life, the end of your privacy – everything.’ But she just held up her hand and said: ‘Stop. I don’t want to hear any negativity. This is a happy time for us.’”

Cowne described Markle as “picky,” “difficult” and someone who hates “negativity.” At the same time, she found Markle “delightful, warm, personable - and hugely charismatic.”

In the ITV documentary “Harry & Meghan: An African Journey” that aired in Australia, the couple opened up about their struggles as royals and first-time parents. Markle admitted that she was not okay and shared that only a few checked on her on how she was doing.

Many were very sorry for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex because they understood the couple. However, some royal followers criticized the couple for complaining about their privileged lives. One said that they only wanted the media to publish good reports about them. Another said that they want to be funded by the public but don’t want to be told on what they should do.

On Tuesday, Markle stepped out and looked gorgeous in her purple dress. She was all smiles as she faced the camera. This prompted some royal followers to question her about the struggles she mentioned in the documentary because she seemed to be enjoying the spotlight. A royal follower said he was confused if Markle wanted more or less media attention. Another wrote, “The struggle is unreal.”
