Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been criticized for their lack of awareness.

Broadcaster Alan Jones was not happy with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following their emotional interview for an ITV documentary. The show was supposed to chronicle their charity work in South Africa but instead of promoting their works, the couple got candid and shared their personal struggles which didn’t sit well with Jones.

“It borders on the insulting. Imagine spending time in Africa where you’re around the poorest of the poor — people who have no possessions — and you’re carrying on about how tough life is. Have these two people got no awareness at all?” Jones said.

Jones felt that Markle forgot to consider the African people by thinking too much of herself when she was around the poorest of the poor individuals.

“Has she ever wondered whether the poor people in Africa are OK? I’ve seen them, these poor kids with flies on their face and emaciated, with nothing, and the 38-year-old is complaining that people haven’t asked if she was OK. She said she’s struggling with duties — what duties? She’s having six weeks off before Christmas for a holiday to LA!”

During their South Africa tour, Markle reportedly planned a press drinks event, but Prince Harry rejected his wife’s proposition. Russell Myers confirmed this to Daily Express royal correspondent Richard Palmer when the latter asked him.

Palmer reacted to the couple’s decision of distancing themselves from the media. According to him, the senior people at the palace still think that the majority of the people are going to get their news about the royal family from the mainstream media.

In related news, there are rumors that Prince Harry and Markle would be leaving the royal family. In fact, their vacation in L.A. is reportedly a test if they will be moving there for good.

According to one netizen, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would lose a number of things they enjoy as royals when they leave the royal family. These things include their free security, free residence in London and the use of the royal collection of valuable items.
