Meghan Markle and Prince Harry do not pay attention to the U.K. tabloid's opinion anymore, a report has claimed.

Royal correspondent Omid Scobie, author of "Finding Freedom," spoke with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's pals about their trip to New York City. During their visit to the Big Apple, the royal couple was photographed at the bar in Carlyle hotel. They also made various engagements in the run-up to Global Citizen Live.

Although their trip was similar to Prince William and Kate Middleton's tour to New York City in 2014, many criticized the Sussexes. British tabloids slammed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex over their trip for the same reason they celebrated the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's previous tour, according to Insider. Scobie spoke with Markle's friend and they said the couple wasn't bothered by the U.K. tabloids's opinion anymore.

"The tabloids will do as the tabloids do," the unnamed tipster told Scobie for Harper's Bazaar. "Only difference now is that they really don’t pay attention to it. It doesn’t penetrate their world."

The royal couple traveled to NYC for vaccine equity. They were there to help Global Citizen Live raise $1.1 billion to support climate, famine and COVID response efforts. Their trip was successful, according to one of Markle's pals.

"This was a knockout trip," the tipster added. "It’s an exciting time. … There is so much they want to achieve, and there is only two of them, but they’re in it for the long haul."

According to Scobie, Prince Harry and Markle will be increasingly visible in the coming months. The pair will be unveiling the works that kept them busy for the Archewell Foundation.

Scobie told People in August that Prince Harry and Markle were "really excited" for their future projects. The duo will be working directly with causes that are aligned with their interests.

"They're a couple who do very well in those moments of human interaction. They need to be on the ground," Scobie continued. "They say that the proof is in the pudding, and what we are about to see is that pudding."

In the same interview, Scobie said the couple has learned to prioritize their mental health and is keeping "some of the toxicity" at arm's length. They are reportedly in a different and "much healthier" place.
