Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to leave Kensington Palace would please Princess Diana.

According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s choice of moving to Windsor to give their upcoming child “privacy” is something that would surely make the late Princess of Wales proud. Princess Diana had always wanted to give her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, a normal life.

“Harry and Meghan’s move to Frogmore Cottage made total sense, giving their new baby privacy whilst they continue and expand charitable activities which would have made Diana proud,” Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk.

Princess Diana was very close to her children. In fact, the trio spent their Saturday nights eating McDonald’s and watching TV. She also made the Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex ride the train and taxis, which didn’t sit well with Prince Charles.

Prince Harry had fond memories of his mom. According to him, Princess Diana was loving and caring as a mom. He also added that she was an “incredibly funny person” too. The expectant dad also admitted that Princess Diana did all she could to give him and Prince William a normal life.

Markle and Prince Harry’s decision to live in Windsor is the best for them. Fitzwilliams said that Markle and Middleton have very “different personalities.”

Despite the fab four’s rumored feud, they spent the holidays with Queen Elizabeth II in Sandringham. “This Christmas is an ideal opportunity for a show of unity, but, as was always going to be the case, their future is likely to be very different,” Fitzwilliams said.

Markle and Middleton were photographed smiling and chatting on the way to the church for the royal’s annual Christmas Day service. According to an insider, the Queen asked the two for a Christmas truce.

Both Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles requested Middleton and Markle to bury the hatchet. The senior royals reminded them to keep their row under wraps because the public outing was for the family to come together.

Judi James said that based on Middleton and Markle’s body language, their friendly reunion was just for the cameras. She also added that Middleton exerted more effort. In one photo, the Duchess of Cambridge opted to keep herself a few steps behind Prince William to keep pace with Markle.
