Meghan Markle and Prince Harry should reportedly be sent to Australia, according to Princess Diana’s former royal butler Paul Burrell.

While speaking with The Sun, Burrell said that giving Prince Harry a position in Australia could help give him and Prince William the space to develop their separate royal roles.

“I think the Queen should think about giving Prince Harry Governor-General of Australia as they’d be rulers in their own country, doing their own thing. On the other side of the world, they’d watch their family grow in a different way and the Cambridges could grow in their own way too without all the drama to bother about,” he said.

Burrell also expressed his concern over the royal siblings’ relationship. He said that the last thing he wants is to see Prince William and Prince Harry have an irreparable fallout.

“I want to get them together in the same room and band their heads together and say ‘come on now.’ Your mother would want you to stand strong together, she wouldn’t want you to fall out,” he added.

Burrell’s statements came after reports swirled that the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex could not stomach working with each other. According to The Sun’s executive editor Dan Wootton, the royal siblings are struggling to work together even with regards to the charities that they are both passionate about.

Wootton also said that it is possible for the royal siblings to grow farther apart after they split their royal households. Even though royal fans want to convince themselves that the siblings would stick together, Wootton said that he thinks otherwise especially since Prince Harry is married to Meghan Markle.

For Wootton, Prince William would most likely take a more serious approach with his royal duties. Prince Harry, on the other hand, will finally be a new-age celebrity royal, which is something that he has strived to achieve for years.
