Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are very hands-on when it comes to their wedding preparations.

According to Us Weekly, the "Suits" star and Prince Harry recently made a change in their royal wedding. Markle apparently opted to have a maid of honor instead of a chief bridesmaid. "And while it is very much a British wedding, expect a few American touches too. She's not picked a chief bridesmaid, she's chosen a maid of honor," an insider said.

It remains unknown who exactly Markle chose as her maid of honor. However, the publication believed that the "Horrible Bosses" star may have picked her stylist and friend, Jessica Mulroney.

Initially, there were rumors that Kate Middleton may be Markle's matron of honor. However, some sources believed that this is unlikely considering that Markle and Middleton are not that close and the latter is the future queen.

"For another, she is the future queen consort when William becomes king after his father, and would unlikely be an attending person to another royal bride," Marlene Koenig told Town & Country. "But it's unlikely for Catherine to do this. She was not a matron of honor, even at her sister's wedding."

In related news, Prince Harry reportedly asked Prince William to be his best man. Of course, there is no other man closer to the groom than his brother.

"Harry has several close guy friends, but there's no way he would ask anyone but William to take on the top job," one insider said.

Meanwhile, there are also rumors that Markle may include Priyanka Chopra as one of her bridesmaids. The "Quantico" star and the "Remember Me" actress have been closed friends for years. In fact, the two ladies have been calling each other "my girl" or "my babe" in their social media posts.

Chopra also defended Markle from being labeled as Prince Harry's girlfriend. According to the "Baywatch" star, there is so much to write about the "Remember Me" star than just being tagged as a royal girlfriend.

"I don't know if I will get into trouble for this, but I have an opinion. I mean, [Megan] is on the cover of Vanity Fair," Chopra said. "It would have been nice to write about her not just her boyfriend. I'm just saying. I mean, she's an actor, she's an activist, she's a philanthropist. I mean, she does so much more."
