Lilly Allen doesn't buy Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's baby announcement.

On Monday, Kensington Palace confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first bundle of joy. Allen then took to Twitter and wrote: "That should take the heat off #BrexitShambles for a week. Well played everyone."

According to Henry Holloway, a journalist for Daily Star, Allen's reaction implied that Prince Harry and Markle's baby is a conspiracy. Some of her followers agreed with her, with some saying that the baby was "deliberately conceived to distract" and another agreeing that "distraction by the establishment mainstream media."

However, there are also royal fans who didn't agree with Allen. Some called her a "cynic" and "stupid."

"Lilly I think the drugs, drink and having no career has gone to your head.... sad you could have done so well for yourself but you sold your soul to the media and now u think Prince Harry and Meghan planned their baby. lala land lilly lalaland," one tweet read.

"SURELY you’re taking the piss? It’s a BABY - usually a sign of happiness. Not often a political stunt. Be more informed before you start sprouting nonsense off on social media platforms #tit," Rhian Wadsworth wrote.

"Such a bitter world-view - poor Lilly," another one posted.

In response to those who criticized her, Allen wrote another tweet. "For all gammon [expletive], I don't think the royal baby is a conspiracy, however, I do think the timing of the announcement was very establishment convenient. Do carry on ...." she posted.

"Absolutely agree with you, I'm very happy for them both but whenever news like this is announced its always a good moment for the government to bury any bad news as its a perfect distraction for them," Neil Watson commented.

"Timing of announcement...being at a British wedding and hiding the fact you’re pregnant? 'I'm on antibiotics', you might as well show your test strip!" another user commented.

Prince Harry and Markle just kicked off their Commonwealth tour in Australia. Prior to their trip, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's royal wedding on Friday.
