Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have to get in quality alone time while they can before the baby arrives. The two had a secret date night on Saturday, and they headed straight to the theater.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a performance of “TINA: The Tina Turner Musical.” The West End show follows the life and career of the “Proud Mary” singer. The show’s official Twitter account thanked Meghan and Harry for attending a performance, but of course, they waited until the day after the performance to let the public know the royals had been in the Aldwych Theatre.

The Sussexes are taking advantage of living so close to the West End while they can. The theater is only about a 20-minute drive from Kensington Palace, where Meghan and Harry reside in Nottingham Cottage. However, the two are set to move into Frogmore Cottage in Windsor very soon. They’ll be almost an hour away from the West End once renovations are finished and they can move in.

Their date night outing wasn’t the first time they’d seen the “TINA” cast perform. The married couple got to see a sneak preview at the Royal Variety Performance in November.

As a former actress, it is not surprising that Meghan loves theater and the arts. She and Harry also saw “Hamilton” on a date night and again during an official engagement last year.

Earlier this year, the Duchess of Sussex took over for Queen Elizabeth II as the royal patron for the National Theatre. She visited in January to check out the crew’s work behind the scenes in departments like carpentry and metal work. The pregnant royal also saw primary school children perform part of “War Horse.”

Meghan retired from acting when she announced her engagement to Prince Harry. Before that, she spent over a decade playing different characters, most notably Rachel Zane on “Suits.”

Now, actresses are playing Meghan. As previously reported, Lifetime is making a sequel to “Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance.” Parisa Fitz-Henley played her in the 2018 movie, but Tiffany Marie Smith will play the Duchess in the TV movie, due out in spring. Charlie Field will take over as Prince Harry.
