Meghan Markle and Sarah Ferguson have more opportunities to do this one thing compared to Kate Middleton.

According to Jess Sheldon, a journalist for Express, the Duchess of Sussex and Duchess of York have more freedom when it comes to dressing themselves up because they are unlikely to become queen consort one day, unlike the Duchess of Cambridge. This gives them more opportunities to wear incredible designer outfits.

“Meghan Markle and Sarah both play a glamorous role in the fantasy created around the life of the royals, with opportunity to wear show stopping couture ... whilst pregnant, celebrate maternity and engage the public's intrigue with the Royal Family,” Holly Jade O’Leary told the publication.

The expert stylist added that Ferguson and Markle’s fashion choices for their public appearances reflect their personalities. On the other hand, Middleton, who is expected to be queen consort in the future, dresses differently, just like how Princess Diana did when she was still alive.

“Both Meghan and Sarah Ferguson are strong, independent and beautiful women, with charismatic personalities which perhaps lend them more opportunity to define their own characters in the public eye through choice of outfits, whilst retaining the classic tailoring within their style and heritage values,” O’Leary explained.

Middleton and Markle’s friendship is often compared to Princess Diana and Ferguson’s. Many were convinced that the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex’s are the newer versions of the late Princess of Wales and Duchess of York. However, not everyone agreed on this.

According to royal expert Robert Jobson, the comparison was unfounded. He pointed out that Middleton and Markle were just two women married to princes — Prince William and Prince Harry, respectively.

On the other hand, Princess Diana and Ferguson were really good friends. In fact, it was the People’s Princess who brought Ferguson to the royal family and they had good laughs together.

Unfortunately, Princess Diana and Ferguson had a falling-out. They reportedly stopped talking to each other before the tragic car crash. However, according to the Duchess of York, Princess Diana told a common friend that she wanted to speak to Ferguson before the accident.

On the other hand, Markle has just become an official royal in less than a year. But, there were already reports about her and Middleton feuding.
