Before joining the British royal family and becoming the Duchess of Sussex in 2018, Meghan Markle had experience dealing with being in the spotlight. This was due to her career as an actress on the USA Network hit TV show "Suits." However, once she stepped into her official royal role, her visibility in the public became much more extraordinary.

"Meghan has struggled with the intensity of the spotlight," revealed an insider close to the Duchess, adding, "Although she is a former actress, this is on a different level."

According to People, that pressure has continued to intensify for the royal since she became a mother on May 6. Since son Archie Harrison's arrival, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made several decisions revolving around privacy, such as a more intimate setting at the Queen's chapel inside Windsor Palace for his christening. Additionally, they only publicly released two photos and did not reveal who Archie's godparents are.

Reportedly, Duchess Kate Middleton, Meghan's sister-in-law, has also acknowledged that being a mother can feel "lonely at times," once saying, "... and you do feel quite isolated. But so many other mothers are going through exactly what you are going through."

Victoria Arbiter, who is a royal commentator, added that no matter how isolating it may feel, "babies are a great leveler."

Continuing, she added, "The minute you're bonding over your stories and sleepless nights, suddenly all the stuff that mattered before doesn't matter anymore."
