Meghan Markle surprised her Filipino fan by greeting her in her own local language.

On Feb. 13, the "Suits" star and Prince Harry stepped out together in Edinburgh Castle in Scotland. A big crowd braved the weather just to see the royal couple.

According to Town & Country, at one point, Prince Harry and Markle were separated. The "Horrible Bosses" star approached as many people as she could and shook their hands.

Then Markle came across a couple from the Philippines who were so excited and ecstatic to meet her. When Markle approached the woman, the latter announced that they were from the Philippines and that it was their wedding anniversary.

Markle responded warmly. "Oh, Amazing! Happy Anniversary," the future royal said. "That's so sweet of you to come here."

As Markle took her step to greet the next person, the woman said her thanks to Prince Harry's fiancée. However, she was taken aback when Markle responded, "Salamat, po."

The word "salamat" in the Philippines means "thank you." The word "po" or "opo" is usually affixed to the end of the sentences of phrases when one is addressing someone older. But "po" can also be used when talking to anyone to be formal and polite.

In related news, during the said sighting, Markle used a cross body bag from Strathberry. The brand was so pleased to see her using their product.

"It is such an honour to see Meghan carrying a Strathberry bag again; this time an East / West Mini in Bottle Green," the Strathberry spokesperson said. "We are especially thrilled that Meghan is carrying Strathberry in our home city and also after she chose to carry her Strathberry Midi Tote for her first royal engagement back in December. We wish them the very best for their upcoming nuptials."

After Markle was photographed in Scotland with her cross body bag, the item was sold out within minutes. Strathberry confessed earlier that Markle has helped their brand big time. Since the time the "Remember Me" actress was spotted with their design, they received a number of calls inquiring about their bags. Their sales have since increased.

"The interest in the brand has been incredible," Strathberry spokesperson Leeanne Hundleby told People. "The phones began ringing constantly and our visitor numbers on our website were up by around 5000 percent!"
