Meghan Markle should reconcile with her dad, Thomas Markle Sr., before it's too late, according to one royal expert.

The Duchess of Sussex has reportedly stopped talking to her father and her relatives on the Markle side of the family following her royal wedding. But royal expert Robert Jobson recently advised Markle to reconcile with her father and resolve their issues together.

While speaking to Channel 7, Jobson talked about the pain of losing a parent and not having them back once they’re gone. He reminded Markle that her father is already 74 and has heart problems. While it’s understandable for the former “Suits” star to ignore her dad, he also asked what would happen if Thomas Sr. dies without them resolving their issues.

"If I were her I’d do anything I could to say ‘I’m here, let’s try and talk about this.’ Just to get things resolved," Jobson said.

Jobson also recalled how Markle wrote and talked about her love for her dad on her website months before she started dating Prince Harry. He added that Markle’s dad paid for her college tuition and did all he could for the Duchess of Sussex.

Journalist Liz Jones also wrote an article advising Markle not to be mean to her dad. She acknowledged Thomas Sr.’s mistakes, which include complaining about not receiving a Father’s Day card, comparing himself to Donald Trump and calling out the Queen for not meeting him. However, she believes that Markle should still reach out to her father.

Jones is convinced that Markle’s dad loves her. She also reminded the duchess that all parents can be embarrassing sometimes.

In an interview with Thomas Sr. earlier this month, he told Daily Mail that he made dozens of attempts to reach out to his daughter by sending her letters and text messages. Unfortunately, there was no response. According to him, he wanted to communicate to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to correct the lies about him.

In one letter, Thomas Sr. threw shade at his son-in-law Prince Harry. He wrote a two-page letter reminding his daughter that he never played pool naked or dressed up as a Nazi to convince her that she should talk to him.
