Meghan Markle won’t be sporting Duchess-worthy accessories on her next royal tour. It has been reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to sport a more “casual” appearance on their upcoming trip.

When the royal couple travels to Southern Africa this fall, Us Weekly notes in their July 15 print issue that Markle won’t be bringing along any tiaras. “[Prince Harry and Meghan] have been invited to represent the Queen through the foreign office so this isn’t just about them wanting to go there. It’s also royal duty,” a source shared with the magazine.

“There will be no white-tie moments on the trip,” added the insider, which listed Botswana, Malawi, Angola, and South Africa as their planned stopping points. The source added, “... Don’t expect Meghan to be packing any tiaras. This is going to be Harry and Meghan as we’ve gotten to know them as royals -- casual, personable and not out of touch.”

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will not be alone on their royal tour. Their infant son, 2-month-old Archie, will also be joining them. The couple remarked about their joy to go on their “first official tour as a family” in an Instagram post last month, writing, “The Duke and Duchess are really looking forward to meeting so many of you on the ground and continuing to raise awareness of the high impact work local communities are doing across the Commonwealth and beyond.”

The royal family won’t only be traveling to Africa this year. They also reportedly have plans to visit Los Angeles, where Markle is from, and to make a stop in Scotland for Archie to spend time with his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
