The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be traveling to South Africa this fall for a tour, but fans of the British royal family won’t see much of their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the trip as their “first official tour as a family” on Instagram in June, Us Weekly reports fans shouldn’t expect too many appearances from the couple’s now two-month-old son.

As the royals gear up for their work trip, it is reported in the outlet’s July 15 print issue that they are taking things “very seriously” when it comes to making sure “that Archie remains safe and happy throughout.” The magazine reports of the new parents, “their No. 1 priority isn’t work, it’s maintaining contentment of Archie, who’ll be only 5 months old.”

Due to the innoculations required to travel in Africa, Archie will reportedly sit out several stops on the tour. “It’s likely that Archie will only be present on certain safer parts of the trip,” said a source.

So, where can royal watchers expect to get a glimpse of the newest member of the royal family? The magazine states Archie will likely show up in South Africa for possible “one of two public moments” before “leaving Harry and Meghan to travel by themselves to engagements in other countries.”

While Archie’s “sightings” are said to be few and far between, a source stated that the infant is traveling with his parents because “they don’t want to leave him behind in the UK” and not because “they want to show him off at every stop.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s tour was requested by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. During the outing, Prince Harry will visit Malawi, Angola, and have “a short working visit” in Botswana.
