  • Will wait patiently until Prince Harry and Meghan Markle bring kids to him: Thomas Markle Sr.
  • Thomas no longer plans to sue Markle and Prince Harry to see his grandkids
  • Markle's dad felt that Archie and Lilibet are being deprived of seeing their grandparents

Meghan Markle's estranged father got candid about his plans regarding his grandchildren with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Thomas Markle Sr. expressed his interest in taking his rights to court to see his grandchildren. However, he seemed to have had a change of heart in his recent interview with "Sunrise" despite receiving pro bono offers from several lawyers about the case.

"I have had offers from several lawyers pro bono, we do have a right to sue to see our grandchildren," Thomas told hosts Natalie Barr and David Koch. "To me, that is like turning this into some kind of game and using them as pawns."

He added, "I will not sue to see them because I just think that is using them... and I don’t want to see Harry and Meghan do the same thing. They should not be used, they are just kids, babies. I will wait."

When Barr asked Thomas what lengths he would go to in order to see his grandchildren, Thomas said he would just "wait patiently" until Prince Harry and Markle bring Archie and Lilibet to him. He also said he would not do "anything silly."

"I certainly won't do anything silly or attempt to stalk them to see my child, my grandchildren. Although I think they're being deprived of seeing all their grandparents. They are being deprived of seeing all their relatives and I think that's terribly unfair to them," he added.

Just like Thomas, Prince Harry's dad, Prince Charles and the other members of the royal family haven't met baby Lili yet. According to an unnamed source, the Prince of Wales would love to see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's daughter in person.

"I think Prince Charles really wants to meet his granddaughter," royal expert and founder of "True Royalty TV" Nick Bullen told US Weekly. "Prince Charles is incredibly sad about everything that’s gone on. So the family will want to meet each other."

Meanwhile, in the same interview, Thomas said he reached out to his ex Doria Ragland to reconnect with Markle. However, he also didn't hear anything from Markle's mom.

"I have tried a few times to call her [Doria] and not been able to get through. I have also left a couple of letters for her on her porch with no response," Thomas said. "Doria and I did always get along, it should not be a problem but I’m sure that Doria does whatever Meghan and Harry tell her to do. That seems to be a dead-end for me as well."
