Meghan Markle will soon wed Prince Harry, but this will not be the first wedding for the “Suits” alum.

In 2004, she started dating film producer Trevor Engelson, and their romance led to the couple tying the knot on Sept. 10, 2011. Three years later, Markle and Engelson finalized their divorce, but this does not mean that the “Horrible Bosses” star stopped falling in love before she eventually met the prince.

Here’s a look at the men Markle dated or was linked to after her split from Engelson and before getting into a relationship with Prince Harry.

Rory McIlroy

Less than a year after her divorce, Markle was linked to professional golfer, Rory McIlroy. The two were spotted out on a date in the summer of 2014, but they confirmed the real status of their relationship.

Cory Vitiello

In the same year, Markle started hanging out with Cory Vitiello, and the two got into a relationship until 2016. The Daily Mail previously reported that Markle dumped Vitiello after she met the prince.

“They were a very handsome pair and well suited, but you got the impression it was a sometimes superficial relationship. Cory was always very focused on his job and his work. In that respect, they both put their careers first. The relationship came second,” a source told the publication.

Vitiello works as a professional chef, and he and Markle enjoyed cooking and eating at home together.

Only two men were publicly linked to Markle before she met Prince Harry, and the prince was only in a relationship with Cressida Bonas until 2014. The couple ended their relationship after Bonas struggled with the media attention she received for being the prince’s girlfriend.

While speaking with BBC Radio, she said, “It’s incredibly frustrating, especially in the industry that I’m in. Yeah, I think it’s that thing of being pigeonholed. Especially in this country, I find people are very quick to put you in a box or put you in a corner and think, ‘Oh well you’re that so you must be this.’”
