Meghan Markle previously shared details about her partying past in one of the nightclubs in London.

On her now-defunct lifestyle blog The Tig, the Duchess of Sussex wrote a piece titled “Guide to London” in 2014. In the article, Prince Harry’s wife raved about partying at Gaz’s Rockin’ Blues at the St. Moritz Club in Soho.

“The oldest ongoing club in London, this place is sweaty, grungy, and happening every Thursday night, late night. They play a mix of rockabilly, reggae, and ska,” she wrote.

Markle said that those who go to the club are usually there to dance and not people watch. The Duchess of Sussex went on to describe the crowd and said that the club boasts of regulars in their zoot suits, teenagers channeling Jim Morrison, red-lipped tough birds in tight corsets, and other “randoms” that pepper the evening with strange encounters and lots of laughs.

According to the nightclub’s official website, Gaz’s Rockin’ Blues is indeed the longest-running one-nighter club in London. It was founded in 1980 and was originally held at Gossips on Dean Street. In November 1995, it moved to Wardour Street. The event usually takes place on Thursdays between 10 p.m. and 3:30 a.m.

Markle previously discouraged those who wish to attend the event from wearing heels.

Two years later, little did Markle know that London will be extra special for her for an entirely different reason. The “Suits” alum was introduced to Prince Harry by their common friend in London. After they started dating, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex endured a long distance relationship, but they revealed that they never went beyond two weeks of not seeing each other.

Markle regularly flew to London to be with Prince Harry, and he also flew to Toronto, Canada a few times where Markle was filming for “Suits.” Before they got engaged, Markle announced her departure from Suits, and she also closed down her lifestyle blog. She also moved to London for good to be with Prince Harry.
