The alleged abuse former Spice Girl singer Mel B suffered at the hands of her husband, Stephen Belafonte, continued to unravel a day after she filed for a restraining order against him Monday. Belafonte, a Hollywood film producer, would “hound and cajole” her to go to Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion, insider told TMZ in an exclusive report Wednesday.

When she agreed to go, Belafonte “encouraged” her to drink. As TMZ noted, Mel B struggled with alcohol abuse. She was hospitalized in December 2014 after she had an accidental overdose. The singer, who split from Belafonte at the time, reportedly mixed booze with Xanax, according to a report from Radar Online at the time.

Once Mel B was intoxicated, he would reportedly find Playboy Bunnies for them to have threesomes with. While sources for Belafonte told TMZ they couple had an open marriage, Mel B denied it. She claimed Belafonte filmed the encounters and then threatened to release them if she didn’t participate in more three ways.

Mel B, whose full name is Melanie Brown, claimed her estranged husband physically abused her and sexually exploited her. Belafonte, 41, denied the accusations.

“So I force her to have threesomes? OK. You know what my comment to this is, actually? That is the mother of my children. I am really distraught in my brain how this is going to affect our children. And the depths that she’s going through. That’s it,” he told TMZ Monday. “I’m shocked at those allegations and it is what it is.”

Belafonte’s home was raided by the Department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) Friday. They didn’t seize a gun, but the ATF continues to investigate him, TMZ wrote in a separate report. The film producer is not allowed to have funs since he was convicted of domestic violence against another woman in 2003.
