Melania Trump did not agree with Ivanka Trump’s attempt at renaming the First Lady’s Office.

Mary Jordan of The Washington Post published excerpts from a new book entitled “Art of her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump.” According to the book, Ivanka tried to rename the office of the First Lady. However, she didn’t get what she wanted because the FLOTUS disapproved of the idea.

Ivanka suggested renaming the “First Lady’s Office” to the “First Family Office.” However, Melania did not allow it because it was already tradition, according to the book.

Meanwhile, Melania did not move to the White House right away after President Donald Trump’s inauguration. Many thought it was a disadvantage for the FLOTUS especially since Ivanka had already settled in the West Wing.

According to sources, the West Wing was “putting up roadblocks and purposely not lending support” to the FLOTUS’ office.

“Even some of the staff positions and budgets that would have been available to support the first lady’s office were gone, diverted to support those in the West Wing, including Ivanka,” Jordan wrote.

While Melania was away, the First Daughter reportedly used the private theater with its plush red seats and enjoyed other White House perks. Moreover, Ivanka allegedly treated the private residence as if it were her own home and Melania did not like it. So, she changed the arrangement after her arrival.

“When she and Barron finally moved in, she put an end to the ‘revolving door’ by enforcing firm boundaries,” Jordan continued.

The book also claims that Melania has a strong influence on her husband. Trump listens to his wife and often agrees with whatever she suggests.

The POTUS also denied the claims that he listens to his children. Trump said that he would not be successful listening to them. Instead, they are the ones who listen to him.

Furthermore, there were also times when the staff heared the president criticize his children. However, he never spoke negatively against his wife.

Meanwhile, The Guardian columnist Arwa Mahdawi also called Melania an “opportunist.” According to her, contrary to the claims that the First Lady is helpless, she actually doesn’t need to be freed.

“Melania is not the helpless victim so many people seem desperate to believe she is,” she wrote.
