Melania Trump recently shared an inspiring New Year’s message to her millions of followers on social media.

In her post, the FLOTUS said that 2019 was a generally successful year. She also vowed to continue speaking with children and encouraging them to “Be Best.”

Supporters of the first lady praised her for a great 2019.

“Happy New Year to you and your family @FLOTUS!! I greatly appreciate the great work that you have done as our first lady,” Twitter user @larrythkw said.

“I'm sure you already ignore the mentally-deranged people who are vile to you and our president but just wanted to say that normal Americans love and support you! Thank you for being a fantastic example!” Twitter user @joelcomm said.

“You are the best! Thank you @FLOTUS for all you do and for your strength,” Twitter user @POTUSPress said.

“Thank you for everything you have done and will continue to do for our country and thank you for supporting our president during these years of tribulations and keeping your head up high and proud. We will re-elect him in 2020 as our gift to you. Happy New Year, FLOTUS,” Twitter user @asmith6719 said.

“Thanks first lady for all the wonderful work you do for our nation!” Twitter user @MatthewJShow said.

“Happy New Year! And thank you for all that you do for our country & the children of our country. We could never ask for a better FLOTUS,” Twitter user @nancylees said.

Meanwhile, there were also some netizens who mocked FLOTUS for talking about her Be Best campaign and for saying that 2019 was a successful year.

“For heaven’s sake! She’s a horrible example for kids! She tells them not to bully, but she’s married to one and defends him in exchange for a posh lifestyle,” Twitter user @tubawidow said.

“‘Successful year?’ Excuse me, but aren’t you an illegal immigrant also? Shouldn’t you be in a cage, too? Just asking. Do you presume that you are somehow a better human being than they are? Why do you presume that?” Twitter user @DeanLeh said.

Meanwhile, the Trumps also made headlines this week after the POTUS corrected his wife when she talked about her New Year's resolution.

"Peace on the world," the FLOTUS said. And President Trump immediately told his wife that she's not supposed to say a resolution out loud.
