First lady Melania Trump on Monday slammed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and Democrats during a solo campaign speech in North Carolina.

Melania Trump appeared in her fourth solo campaign rally in Huntersville, where she shared President Donald Trump’s views on law and order in the U.S., and tore into Democrats, CNN reported.

"When rioters and looters were burning our cities and wrecking small businesses that belong to hard-working families and bring jobs to our communities, where were the Democrats?" Trump said in her speech.

"Why should we trust Joe Biden when he suggests he can do a better job? All you have to do is look back on his 47 years in political life to determine whether you think he is suddenly capable of putting the American people first," she added.

During her speech, the 50-year-old Trump praised her husband’s administration for “upholding and defending the justice system” and its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. The first lady, who tested positive for the novel coronavirus in October, also criticized the media and Democrats for making the pandemic a politically charged and divisive topic.

She also praised the Trump administration for “working to support families and people” affected by the downfall of the U.S. economy due to the pandemic, USA Today reported.

“This administration has worked tirelessly to support families and people struggling financially during this pandemic while Democrats in Congress refuse to sign another stimulus package,” Melania said.

Her statement comes after lawmakers were unable to strike a deal and deliver a fresh round of stimulus checks and financial aid to millions of Americans before the election. Senators have also adjourned on Monday and are not expected to return until Nov. 9.

Although Pelosi and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin were able to narrow their differences over spending issues with the help of committee chairs, Senate Republicans have continuously opposed the $2.2 trillion package, CBS News reported.

The Democrat’s $2.2 trillion coronavirus relief package was expected to include provisions for a second round of $1,200 stimulus checks for millions of Americans, the revival of the $600 weekly unemployment benefit, and federal aid for local and state governments.
