First Lady Michelle Obama is taking her healthy eating and anti-obesity campaigns to a whole new level with the release of a cookbook.

American Grown: How the White House Kitchen Garden Inspires Families, Schools, and Communities will be released on April 10, 2012. It is being published by Random House imprint Crown Publishers.

The book will speak to these issues which Mrs. Obama has strongly advocated for and will also include practical ideas, recipes, resources and tips on how to begin a garden of any size, anywhere, a statement on the book read.

Money made from book sales will be donated, and the First Lady did not receive an advance, according to Random House.

'American Grown' is the perfect title for a book in which the First Lady will celebrate the benefits of American community, school, and urban gardens and of healthy, nutritious food for our nation's families and communities, Crown president Maya Mavjee said in a statement.

The First Lady has made healthy eating one of her biggest causes. She helped launch the U.S. Department of Agriculture's MyPlate initiative, which has replaced the Food Pyramid, and started the Let's Move! campaign to end childhood obesity.
