Microsoft is currently sending out the invites for an upcoming Surface Event this late 2019. The invite didn’t show much details about its reveals but many fans are expecting more of the company’s Surface devices. Will the next Surface Pro be among the new releases?

The upcoming event will be held in New York City on October 2 according to some invites received by news sites as seen from The Verge and Engadget. Back in 2018, Microsoft revealed the Surface Pro 6, Surface Studio 2, Surface Laptop 2, and Surface Headphones in the same month. The invitation didn’t specify any of their upcoming reveals this October.

Microsoft’s upcoming device reveals for this event could also be the upcoming Centarius device. This device has a dual-screen and could be another laptop-tablet hybrid that now supports a dual screen. However, the company has yet to stance itself to be releasing any new devices aside from the Surface event announcement.

As far as the Surface product line is concerned, the company CEO Satya Nadella himself stopped development of the Surface Mini. We’ve yet to see if this will affect any Surface device announcement this coming October.

Meanwhile, other Surface devices currently need a modern overhaul in specs. The Surface Laptop and Surface Pro has yet to receive an iteration with the latest USB-C ports. Meanwhile, the Surface Book has yet to see its third iteration.

Outside from devices, Microsoft has also been extending its technology to cloud services. Microsoft could also announce more details about the Azure cloud service platform in the October reveals. The Azure cloud services are raking in more income for the company which could mean that more improvements could be added for this feature. So far, the Azure is currently famous as a business solution but Microsoft could also make a way to reach a wider audience in the long run for this service.

For now, Microsoft still has September to tease a new device prior to the reveal. Fans will have to wait to see what’s in store for this upcoming show.
