Long before Miley Cyrus started twerking with teddy bears, the former “Hannah Montana” actress was rumored to be feuding with her former fellow Disney starlet, actress and singer Selena Gomez. While the pair immediately shut down rumors of a feud a few years ago, the duo may still not be on the best of terms.

Cyrus, 21, who infamously mocked the former “Wizards of Waverly Place” star in a YouTube parody in 2008, allegedly went on another attack against Gomez, 21, during a performance in Milan, Italy, on Sunday night. While Cyrus did not address any of her potential misgivings with Gomez onstage, she did reportedly perform her single “FU,” about a cheating lover, while holding a cardboard cutout of the “Spring Breakers” star. According to a report from TMZ, the songstress obtained the cutout from a member of her “Bangerz” tour audience and carried it onstage before later tossing it back into the crowd. “It’s unclear what Miley’s beef with Selena is … but there was nothing subtle about her message,” according to the gossip site’s report.

Cyrus, who has yet to address her latest controversial performance, was last rumored to be feuding with Gomez in February following reports that Cyrus allegedly dated her longtime beau, Justin Bieber, in 2013. While Cyrus has since denied having a romance with the troubled singer, Life & Style (via ExtraTV) reported otherwise. “Justin and Miley were seeing each other behind her back last year,” a source told the tabloid, adding that just days after one of the couple’s on-again, off-again splits, Cyrus allegedly spent the night at Bieber’s abode.

Following Life & Style’s original report (via HL), the magazine followed up its claims by insisting that Gomez and her longtime pals, singers Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift, were keeping their distance from the “Wrecking Ball “ performer. “Both Taylor and Demi know how heartbroken Selena’s been, and they hate what Miley did to her,” a source told the magazine. “All four girls used to be friendly, but when Selena heard Miley started making moves on Justin, it went downhill.”

In May, footage of Cyrus’ expletive-laced, minute-long rant about an unidentified ex during a concert in London was rumored to be directed toward her former fiancé, actor Liam Hemsworth. In response to the media’s speculation, Cyrus denied that her speech was about her failed romance with the “Hunger Games” star in this message to Twitter: “Just FYI what I said the other night at G.A.Y. had nothing to do with Liam. I was just tryin to rile up the boys.”
