“Modern Family” Season 8, episode 3 will see the Dunphys and Pritchetts being divided between Luke (Nolan Gould) and Manny’s (Rico Rodriguez), who decide to run for class president against each other.

ABC just dropped the official synopsis for “Blindsided,” which revealed that Luke will suddenly decide to run against Manny, thinking that becoming class president is his only way to get into a reputable college. Luke will receive help for his campaign from his mom Claire (Julie Bowen), who is known for being extremely competitive. Manny, on the other hand, will be assisted by Gloria (Sofia Vergara) and Jay (Ed O’Neill), who are equally as competitive.

Meanwhile, Hayley (Sarah Hyland) has just started her own promotion business, and she will experience some ups and downs in her chosen field. Phil (Ty Burrell) encourages his daughter to meet up with marketing expert Merv Schechter (Martin Short). In addition, “Blindsided” will also focus on Cam’s (Eric Stonestreets) sudden decision to invite his star football player to potentially live with him and Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson), according to Spoilers Guide.

Prior to “Modern Family” Season 8, episode 3, ABC will first release episode 2 on Wednesday, Sept. 28. “A Stereotypical Day” is expected to convey some important lessons among people of all ages and across the world. Mitch and Cam believe that they are the most openminded couple and parent amongst the Dunphys and Pritchetts. However, they hear their daughter Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons) insult one of her friends, so they try to teach her the importance of accepting others. Jay also tries to impress their new neighbors and goes out of his way to make them think that he, Gloria and Manny are the best.

“Modern Family” Season 8 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
