Can you still remember Motorola Razr, the popular stylish clamshell phone made by Motorola that took the mobile world by storm? There is no denying that the striking appearance and design of this phone made Motorola a popular brand.

However, the company has misread the fast-evolving mobile market and lost the mobile competition to the slew of fast-growing Android vendors. The company’s strategy of grabbing market share by selling millions of low-cost Razr phones didn’t work. Instead, it resulted in heavy losses in the company’s mobile division.

However, Motorola is not backing down and it’s looking for a mobile hit. The company is, reportedly, planning to launch its re-invented Motorola Razr before the end of this year. But, due to some technical issues, the planned release date has been shifted to the end of the year.

This was confirmed by CNET in an earlier report, where it said that the new device might arrive by the end of 2019. The reason for the huge delay has not been stated in the report. Tech website LetsGoDigital earlier reported that the Moto Razr was planned to be in Europe in late 2019 (December) or earlier 2020 (January).

There are a number of concepts renders for the upcoming Motorola Razr. Some said it will look similar to the original Moto Razr that made a stunning hit. According to reports, the Motorola Razr 2019 will be a foldable smartphone with a design reminiscent of the company’s 2004’s hit, the Motorola Razr V3.

As for the specs, earlier leaks and reports from mobile-focused website GSMArena suggest that the new handset will not be as spec-heavy as the Samsung Galaxy Fold and Huawei Mate X. It will likely come with a 6.2-inch display and will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. The new handset might also boast a 4GB or 6GB of RAM along with 64GB or 128GB of storage, backed by a 2,730mAh battery, the website added.
