A member of the 2006 Miami Heat championship team believes LeBron James will have his revenge this season and will lead the Lakers to an NBA title.

Jason Williams, 43, who won the 2006 NBA Finals with Dwyane Wade in Miami, was one of the whole entourage of NBA greats who visited India as part of the NBA India Games.

As he took part in establishing a good relationship with the country, Williams spared some time to talk about his thoughts regarding the NBA today.

In an exclusive interview with GQ, Williams predicted that the Los Angeles Lakers will win the NBA championship this coming season. According to “White Chocolate,” James will be hungry for revenge as he wasn’t able to perform at his best last season due to injuries and other issues.

“I think the player to watch out for will be LeBron James. He will have a lot to prove this year. With him sitting out last season (groin injury) and the Lakers not doing exactly what they were supposed to do last season. I think they will win go on to win the Championships,” Williams predicted.

Meanwhile, James appeared to be happy to finally be playing with Anthony Davis, who scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in his Lakers debut. “The King” on the other hand, recorded 15 points and 8 assists to defeat the Warriors 123-101.

During the first quarter, the dynamic duo logged eight-plus minutes together and helped LA build a 26-12 advantage.

After the game, Davis mentioned the constant communication that has helped them get along well inside the court, Los Angeles Times reported.

"Even when we're on the floor we're talking. If he's [James] on the floor or I'm on the bench, we're talking and trying to help each other out. The more we can do that, the easier the game will be for us and our teammates," Davis revealed.

The Lakers' social media team seemed too excited following their impressive win over the Warriors on Saturday. The team got fans buzzing after a sudden “warning” tweet broke out.

“Consider this a warning,” Lakers tweeted.

Laker legend Magic Johnson was also pleased with the team's performance and took to social media his thoughts about James. As per Johnson, he thinks that James will put up much bigger numbers this season.

“Laker Nation, I just watched LeBron and Anthony Davis put on a show in the 1st quarter of the Lakers vs. Warriors exhibition game. Watch out rest of the NBA!. I think LeBron is going to average close to a triple double this season," Johnson tweeted.

The Los Angeles Lakers are preparing to face the Brooklyn Nets for two games in China.
