Netflix October 2014 tv shows and movies
Find out what TV shows and movies will be added to Netflix during October 2014. Netflix

Out with the old and in the with new! That’s the motto Netflix is living by for the month of October. While the streaming site has a ton of content disappearing at the end of September, the service is also offering new TV shows and movies for you to binge watch starting Wednesday, Oct. 1.

Curious what programs will be available for you to cozy up to as the weather gets colder? Well, one of the most anticipated TV shows coming to Netflix is long running series “Gilmore Girls,” which starred Lauren Graham as Lorelai Gilmore and Alexis Bledel as her daughter Rory.

The program, which made its series debut on the WB in 2000, told the story of a single mother raising her daughter in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. The show, which was canceled in 2007, was best known for its fast-paced dialog, jam-packed with pop-culture references. “Gilmore Girls” also won several nominations, including an Emmy Award, and was listed as one of Time magazine’s “All-TIME 100 TV Shows” in 2007.

But “Gilmore Girls” isn’t the only critically acclaimed drama set to appear on the “Recently Added” category of Netflix. The Baz Luhrmann directed and Oscar nominated film “Romeo + Juliet,” which starred Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes in 1996, will also become available for viewers to watch over and over again come October.

Check out the full list of movies and TV shows being added to Netflix starting Oct. 1, and let us know in the comment section which installments you plan on binge watching throughout autumn. Hey, that’s what the cold months are meant for anyway!
