  • The end of Season 2 sees Emily struggling with decisions on her career and love life

Fans can expect more adventures as Netflix has renewed the hit series "Emily In Paris" for two more seasons.

The Lily Collins-led comedy is heading for a third and fourth season just a few weeks after its Season 2 was premiered on the streaming service.

Released on Dec. 22, the second season of "Emily In Paris" debuted on the Global Netflix Top 10 and was number one across 94 countries with 107.6 million hours viewed from Dec. 22 to Dec. 26, 2021. The show' first season also made it to the Global Top 10 despite facing some criticism – the latest was made by a Ukrainian government official who complained against the portrayal of a Ukrainian character in the show.

"Emily In Paris" follows Emily, a Chicago-bred marketing executive, who unexpectedly finds herself in Paris when the company she is working for acquires boutique French luxury firm, Savoir. Emily embarks on several adventures in Paris as she navigates through work, social life and romances in the city of love.

Season 2 sees Emily traveling from Paris to the French Riviera, including Saint-Tropez. This time, she is determined to focus more on work after getting entangled in a love triangle with her neighbor and her French friend.

Season 3 will be filmed once again at the Studios of Paris on the outskirts of France in the spring or summer, Variety reported. Other locations are also being considered for the series, including London.

"She's faced with a major decision. She has reasons to pick a number of doors at the end of Season 2, and our challenge is deciding which of those doors she's going to choose and why," showrunner Darren Star earlier told TVLine. "That's what Season 3 is going to be about. When you live in a foreign country, one of the questions is, where's your heart? Is it the place you came from, or the place you are at the moment? Emily is going to be struggling with that as well."

"Emily In Paris" was a huge hit when it premiered in October 2020. It was streamed by over 58 million households, which led the show to grab a spot on Nielsen's top 10 most-watched streaming shows for the week, beating "Grey's Anatomy" and "Criminal Minds." The show has earned two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Program.
