Netflix’s new docuseries “Who Killed Little Gregory?” has sent the Internet into a frenzy. People can not stop talking about how good the series is.

“Who Killed Little Gregory?” was released on Nov. 20. It is about the murder of a 4-year-old boy named Gregory Villemin and “a young couple fights a twisting and arduous battle trying to identify a frustratingly elusive killer,” according to the series description.

There are five episodes, the first four episodes are about an hour long and the last episode stretches to 69 minutes.Even though the series is in French, Netflix offers viewers the option to add English subtitles and audio.

Fans are using Twitter to express just how much they loved watching this binge-worthy murder series.

“Who Killed Little Gregory on Netflix is a must-watch. Never heard of the case before this docuseries, so disturbing,” someone said.

“So I’m up way too late because I started watching the docuseries 'Who Killed Little Gregory?' and I need some kind French people to tell me what is up with the misogynistic police & incompetent judge??? And these 'journalists'??? Wow,” another person said.

“Just finished Who Killed Little Gregory on Netflix. This story is straight out of a horror movie. The investigators botched the case from the beginning. Could not believe one of the lead detectives described the grieving mother's attire as 'sexy,'” someone else added.

What is it about a murder that is so interesting to watch? Jooyoung Lee, an associate professor of sociology at the University of Toronto, told Global News that “bingeing true crime is not that much different from people watching a 24-hour news cycle covering a killing spree or a terrorist attack.”

“I think human beings, in general, are just drawn to extreme cases of violence. And when I say drawn to them, I don’t mean that they watch something and hope to emulate it; there’s just this fascination,” Lee added.
