Netflix's "Hollywood" is gearing up for release and getting fans excited.

Ryan Murphy has reshaped the TV industry in a whole other level of finesse. Known for his slew of successful television shows such as FOX musical drama “Glee,” “Scream Queens,” FX series “American Horror Story” and more, the film wiz and prodigy is about to set his sights on a more colossal scope for his new project.

Teaming up with Netflix, Murphy’s new television show, “Hollywood,” will soon be released on the streaming platform, Marie Claire reported. Ian Brennan will co-produce with Murphy in this show, a frequent collaborator of his such as in hit series "Glee" and his other Netflix series "The Politician."

And just like Murphy’s other shows, “Hollywood” is another piece that will not only fit his extensive lineup but just might become an addition to everyone’s watchlist favorites.

In a report by Elle, Murphy will be exploring the Golden Age of Hollywood. Set in the 1940s post-WWII, Murphy imbues a glorious retro feel into this new TV series. “Hollywood” will be a period piece following a group of ambitious actors and filmmakers hoping to make it big in showbiz.

The show will be casting actors and actresses straight out of Murphy’s list of shows. Darren Criss, who hails from "Glee," is both a cast member and a producer. The Emmy and Golden Globe actor announced this via an Instagram post and also dropped that Raymond will be his character’s name.

The rest of the awaited star-studded ensemble will also include David Corenswet ("The Politician") playing Jack, an aspiring actor; Jeremy Pope ("The Ranger") as Archie the screenwriter; Samara Weaving ("Ready or Not") as Claire, an actress with secret connections; Laure Harrier ("Spider-Man: Homecoming") as Camille, an actress in studio system; Jim Parsons ("The Big Bang Theory") as Henry Willson the agent; Dylan McDermott ("American Horror Story") as Ernie; Holland Taylor ("To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You"); and many other notable stars, Elle reported.

“It’s 1940’s Hollywood, so there’s going to be great clothes and great accent,” Murphy said in a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s going to be sexy and optimistic. It’s really about young people and the excitement of young people seeking opportunity.”

It was also revealed that the TV series will cover narratives and an entanglement of story arcs — a film technique most noteworthy from "American Horror Story," Murphy's renowned horror anthology series. But amid the dramatic and glamourous screenplay, "Hollywood's" tone will mostly be taken out from his other hit TV series, "Glee," just without the musical bit.

Murphy’s new TV show “Hollywood” is set to stream on Netflix on May 1.
