Some hit movies and TV shows are coming to Netflix in September. The streaming service will add dozens of new titles this month. Some are classics from the past while others are favorites that were blowing up at the box office just a few months ago.

“Bruce Almighty” (Sept. 1) Jim Carrey and Jennifer Aniston star in this 2003 Comedy about a weatherman, Bruce, who doesn’t think God (Morgan Freeman) is looking out for him. So God gives Bruce all his powers, but Bruce’s selfishness doesn’t take priority for long.

“The Breakfast Club” (Sept. 1) John Hughes’ classic high school movie returns to Netflix in September. Five teens from different cliques get a Saturday detention together, and they learn that they aren’t that different after all. Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson and Ally Sheedy star.

“Groundhog Day” (Sept. 1) Bill Murray stars as a TV weatherman who relives the same day over and over again. He realizes there are no consequences for his actions if the day resets every night.

“Two Weeks Notice” (Sept. 1) Who doesn’t love a Sandra Bullock romantic comedy? This 2002 film shows her as an environmental lawyer who starts working for a billionaire (Hugh Grant). He comes to rely on her a little too much, so she hands in her two weeks notice. However, she soon realizes she might not want to leave the billionaire behind.

“The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” (Sept. 1) This 2005 sci-fi movie shows Arthur (Martin Freeman) being saved from Earth before the planet is destroyed. His savior and friend, Ford (Mos Def), is researching a new edition of “A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” and he brings Arthur on his travels.

“Lilo & Stitch” (Sept. 2) This animated Disney film is a great family-friendly Netflix option. Stitch is the galaxy’s most wanted alien. Lilo is an orphan in Hawaii. This strange pairing becomes a dynamic duo as Lilo helps Stitch learn to love.

“Black Panther” (Sept. 4) After the death of his father, T’Challa/Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) is ready to assume the throne. However, M’Baku (Winston Duke) and Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) challenge him for the title of King of Wakanda. The Marvel movie also introduces some of the most compelling female supporting characters yet with Princess Shuri (Letitia Wright), warrior Okoye (Danai Gurira) and spy Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o).

“American Vandal” Season 2 (Sept. 14) The satirical true crime series returns with another mystery: who is the Turd Burglar? A student at an elite Catholic school has been pulling poop-related pranks, and documentarians Peter Maldonado (Tyler Alvarez) and Sam Ecklund (Griffin Gluck) are investigating.

The movie, directed by Edgar Wright, is a cult favorite and includes Captain America actor Chris Evans and Captain Marvel actress Brie Larson.

“Maniac” Season 1 (Sept. 14) This miniseries, a Netflix original, stars Jonah Hill and Emma Stone as two patients undergoing experimental drug testing. Judging from the trailer, it’s going to get pretty weird.

“A Wrinkle in Time” (Sept. 25) Meg (Storm Reid) knows her dad (Chris Pine) didn’t just disappear. Three beings (played by Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling) send Meg, along with her brother and her friend, to space to find him. Ava DuVernay directed the adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s beloved fantasy novel.
