A woman taking a shower in her New Jersey home allegedly fought off a naked intruder, who snuck up on her, police said.

Cops are now on the lookout for the man and released a sketch of the suspect in an effort to identify him.

The suspect, believed to be between 18 to 24 years old, had broken into the woman’s house in Hillsborough Township at around 10:18 p.m. on April 13. Police said the man took his clothes off while the woman was in the shower and then tried to join her. The man allegedly groped the woman from behind before she fought him off and drove him away all by herself, according to NBC New York.

“The victim was able to fight off the suspect, who fled the bathroom and exited the residence possibly through a screen door,” New Jersey State Police said in a statement Wednesday on Facebook.

The woman wasn't injured during the incident.

The police department released a composite sketch of the suspected intruder, developed by a detective with the State Police Forensic Imaging Unit.

The man was described as a white male with a thin build. He has short dark-colored hair and has no hair on his face or body, police noted.

Neighbors were shocked and are hoping to see cops nab the intruder quickly.

“I’ve never heard anything like this and it’s a little weird,” neighbor Matt Nile was filmed saying in an ABC7NY video.

Nile said he’s “still trying to get my head around it.”

“You think you’d be safe in your own home,” said another neighbor, who also told the outlet that people should keep their doors locked.

The police department's statement said the New Jersey State Police, Hillsborough Township Police Department and Somerset County Prosecutor's Office are working together on the case and seeking public help for any information that could lead to identifying the suspect, who allegedly broke into the house and “committed a sexual offense.”

“Anyone with information is asked to call the Somerset County Prosecutors Office Sex Crimes Unit at 908-231-7100 or the Hillsborough Township Police Department at 908-369-4323,” read the statement.
