Nanny

If you fancy watching a horror thriller, then "Nanny" is perfect for you. The movie revolves around an African woman who gets hired as a nanny in the United States. However, soon she starts to get nightmares that involve mermaids and spiders. It stars Anna Diop, Michelle Monaghan, Sinqua Walls and Rose Decker. The flick is helmed by director Nikyatu Jusu and is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths

If you love watching drama, then you should definitely check out "Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths," which is available on Netflix. It tells the story of a journalist struggling with an existential crisis. The movie is helmed by director Alejandro González Iñárritu and stars Daniel Giménez Cacho, Ximena Lamadrid and Griselda Siciliani.

Snow Day

Here's a Christmas-themed movie on the list, "Snow Day." It is a remake of a 2000's classic musical movie of the same name. The story follows a group of children who learns how breaking the routine and taking risks in life can make anything possible. The flick is helmed by director Michael Lembeck and stars Rob Huebel, Michaela Russell, Shelby Simmons, Ky Baldwin and Viggo Hanvelt. It is available to stream on Paramount+.

The Apology

"Breaking Bad" actress Anna Gunn can be seen playing Darlene's character, who is an alcoholic in "The Apology," which has been released in theaters as well as on the Shudder streaming platform. It is a mystery movie revolving around a woman who lost her daughter 20 years ago and drinks regularly to cope with the tragedy. However, she learns new secrets when she gets trapped in a house with distant relatives.

The flick is helmed by director Alison Locke and stars Janeane Garofalo and Linus Roache.
