The town bounty board found in every settlement in “New World” is a great source of XP for the majority of the early game. Completing these bounties also contribute toward the overall development of a settlement, which will make a town more attractive for a wider range of players.

Players who are looking to earn as much XP as they can during the early stages of the game have plenty of options. The main story quest, which is something that all players should aim to complete, is arguably the best source of gold and XP. Since it has level-gated quests, players will have to look at other options.

At first glance, the bounties at the town boards may appear to be a little underwhelming. Chores like cooking food, smelting ore or hunting animals aren’t exactly exciting, but these tasks are very easy to do and they’re excellent sources of XP.

Town bounties give three rewards: gold, player XP and territory XP. The gold reward from these side jobs is largely negligible and players should look toward doing other activities if they want to make money. On the other hand, the XP rewards are much more worthwhile.

The upfront player XP rewards per bounty is relatively low, so players shouldn’t expect to get too much level progress for individual jobs. Territory XP gained per bounty is much higher in comparison. This is important because leveling up Territory Standing also grants decent chunks of player XP.

Ranking up Territory Standing will ultimately contribute to actual player level progression. This is what makes town board bounties appealing. Most bounties can be finished without ever leaving a settlement, which means that players can finish bulk orders and be rewarded with tons of XP with very little effort.

This method is great for power-leveling so long as players have either enough resources in their storage shed or enough gold to buy raw materials from the trading posts. Players will also gain XP for their crafting and gathering skills depending on their preferred methods, which will grant even more player XP.

Players are recommended to take every crafting-related town bounty since they are the fastest and easiest to do. Hunting and Fishing quests take too much time and effort, but players who want to level up their skills should consider doing them.
