New York Fashion Week 2012 is taking a step in a decidedly technological direction. Designers are turning to the digital highway to promote their runway shows. Collections will live stream online throughout Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, live from Lincoln Center.

BCBG Max Azria kicks off New York Fashion Week 2012 on Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. EST. BCBG is offering a live stream of its Fall 2012 runway show via its official Web site. Go to http://www.bcbgmaxazriagroup.com/runway/ to watch the live stream, beginning at 10 a.m. EST/7 a.m. PST.

BCBG has been getting into gear for one of fashion's biggest weeks through a number of online promotions.

The label offered fans a teaser sketch [inset] from its Fall 2012 on Feb. 7. The BCBG Fall 2012 collection is inspired by Bauhaus, a characteristic of a 20th-century school of design founded in Germany. The color inspiration comes from the combination of hues and light, creating a composed palette. The architectural effect is meant to manifest confidence, individuality and a chic edge.

BCBG recommends getting ready for its New York Fashion Week 2012 runway show by listening to some 80s music and little bit of reggae.
