Nicki Minaj has shared the trailer of her six-part documentary series, titled "Nicki," on Instagram, calling it an "electrifying, inspiring body of work."

In the two-minute trailer shared Thursday on Instagram, the 39-year-old shared some old footage of herself, when she was struggling to be a rapper.

"You don’t get a manual on how to be a famous rapper," Minaj's voice says in the background. "You just learn it as you go."

After showing a few seconds of her struggling days, the trailer cuts to Minaj's lifestyle now, featuring clips from her stage shows and giving interviews. "I'm fighting for the girls who never thought they could win," she says in the trailer.

She went on to share Taylor Swift's 2011 tweet, where she praised Minaj's track, "Super Bass" from music album, "Pink Friday," which was released in 2010. As the tweet was shown, Minaj can be heard saying, "I never wanted to be mainstream. Mainstream came to me."

Minaj further explains how the rap industry isn't very supportive and loving. "It was time for me to grow up and start loving myself," she further says. "I became the strongest I've ever been in my life and then I just started rapping."

"I took some time to perfect this very intimate, delicate, electrifying, inspiring body of work," she added. "As I decide on a home for this project, I can’t help but reflect on what I’m including in this doc."

Minaj revealed in the caption of the post the series would be coming out "sooner" than you think. However, the rapper has not disclosed the release date yet.

She went on to share that the six-part docuseries will feature some "so personal" things that it is "scary." The rapper teased, "It’s like NOTHING you’ve seen before & I need it to be handled with care."

"Love you so much. Thank you for the continued support," she concluded.

Fans shared their reactions in the comments section.

"FINALLY!!! This makes me so emotional," one of the fans wrote. "Seeing your progress and everything you’ve been through. There’s a reason you’re the Queen of Rap. Thank you for taking us along your journey." Another one added, "Years in the making! Icon forever! Let’s go my Dawg!"

Minaj was last featured in the music video, "We Go Up," which was released in April featuring rapper Fivio Foreign. The rapper began her career with "Foolish" music track, which was dropped in 2002.
