Nintendo Switch has revealed the release date of "The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask" along with a new trailer in celebration of its official rollout.

Japanese gaming giant Nintendo announced last month that "The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask" is scheduled to launch in its hybrid console as part of the Switch Online expansion pass service. The announcement hyped fans but it did not come with a definitive release date.

Nintendo announced Friday that "The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask" is coming as one of its N64 games on its premium online service on Feb. 25. As part of the announcement, the Japanese gaming giant has also released a new trailer for the game.

"Link is dragged into the world of Termina, where the moon is falling from the sky! Relive the world’s final 72 hours when The Legend of #Zelda: Majora's Mask comes t#NintendoSwitch for #NintendoSwitchOnline + Expansion Pack members on 2/25. #Nintendo64," the tweet read.

It is worth noting that "The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask" is not the first N64 Zelda title to be ported to the Nintendo Switch Online Service. In 2021, Nintendo launched "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" to the collection.

Unfortunately, the game encountered several performance issues at launch with some fans claiming that the port was far worse than the one featured on the Wii U's virtual console. Hopefully, Nintendo has done something about this so "Majora's Mask" will not have the same fate as the "Ocarina of Time."

"The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask" originally launched on Nintendo 64 in 2000 and is considered one of the best "Zelda" games. It has been rolled out on various platforms over the years, including 3DS, Wii U, Wii and GameCube.

For those that have not yet gotten their hands on the game, the title's launch on Nintendo Switch is the perfect chance.

"Majora's Mask" is unique compared to other games in the franchise.

In this game, Link has only three days to save the land of Termina before the moon comes crashing down into the world. "Majora's Mask" is the sequel of "Ocarina of Time" and features a lot darker theme than other "Zelda" titles.
