The phone was announced March 17 and went on sale in China on March 20. List prices there start at 9,999 yuan for 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, 10,999 yuan for 16 GB and 512 GB, and 11,999 yuan for 16 GB and 1 TB with satellite calling and messaging. Singapore listed the device at 2,699 Singapore dollars. Thailand's figure was 79,990 baht. Vietnam's was 64.99 million dong. PhoneArena cited an MSRP near $1,899 for a 16 GB/512 GB unit. The Verge's Australian test unit was about 3,299 Australian dollars, or roughly $2,300. Official Western European retail was not set in several reviews because OPPO had not committed to a wide rollout there.

Unfolded, GSMArena lists the body at 159.9 by 145.6 by 4.2 millimeters. Folded it is 159.9 by 74.1 by 8.9 millimeters. Weight is 225 grams. The frame is 7000-series aluminum. The hinge is grade-5 titanium. The cover uses nanocrystal glass. The inner face is plastic over the fold. Colors include Stellar Titanium, Blossom Orange and Pearl Black, with some listings using Deep Black or Golden Orange.

The inner display is an 8.12-inch LTPO OLED, 2248 by 2480 pixels, about 412 pixels per inch, 120 Hz, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HDR Vivid. Typical brightness is listed at 600 nits, high brightness mode 1,800 nits and peak 2,500 nits. Pulse-width modulation dimming is specified at 2,160 Hz. OPPO says the inner glass uses a self-healing memory layer and supports a stylus on both screens. The cover is a 6.62-inch LTPO OLED, 1140 by 2616 pixels, about 431 ppi, with a peak of 3,600 nits in GSMArena's table.

Water and dust markings vary by write-up. GSMArena records IP58 and IP59, including high-pressure jets and immersion to 1 meter for 30 minutes. The Verge and Notebookcheck still flagged incomplete dust sealing as a caveat. That split is the main hardware asterisk in otherwise favorable tests.

Allison Johnson at The Verge scored the phone 9 out of 10 and listed a nearly creaseless display, day-plus battery, stylus support and strong multitasking as strengths. "This is as thin as these phones are getting until we ditch the USB-C port," she wrote. She said a seven-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 "breezed through a 60fps Diablo Immortal session without even warming up." On battery: "I've frequently gone to bed with about 50 percent of the charge remaining, even on days with heavier use of the 8.12-inch internal screen, but I wouldn't trust this to take me through two full days without a power bank on hand." On cameras she called the triple rear set "great compared to other foldable phones, but still not a patch on what Oppo delivers in its slab flagships like the Find X9 series," especially at night.

Android Central's Apoorva Bhardwaj, after two weeks, wrote that "this is easily the best foldable money can buy today" and that the inner panel "makes the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold feel outdated." Trusted Reviews said the near-creaseless inner screen made the device "ready for more than just early adopters" and called limited global availability "all the more frustrating."

The chip is Qualcomm's SM8850-AC Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 on 3 nanometers: two 4.6 GHz Oryon V3 Phoenix L cores and five 3.62 GHz Phoenix M cores, with an Adreno 840 GPU in GSMArena's spec sheet. It is a seven-core cut of the flagship part, the same approach OPPO used on the Find N5. Storage is UFS 4.1. RAM and storage combinations run 12 GB/256 GB, 16 GB/512 GB and 16 GB/1 TB. There is no microSD slot.

Software is Android 16 with ColorOS 16. GSMArena said OPPO promises five years of major OS updates and six years of support including a final year of security patches. ColorOS stays close to OnePlus OxygenOS and leans on split windows and stylus notes on the inner sheet.

The battery is a 6,000 milliamp-hour silicon-carbon pack, up from 5,600 mAh on the N5. Wired charging is 80 watts. Wireless charging is 50 watts. Reverse wired and reverse wireless are listed. GSMArena also notes 44-watt UFCS, 55-watt PPS and 18-watt PD/QC. ComputerBase measured PCMark 3.0 at 23 hours 27 minutes on the cover, up 23 percent from the prior generation, and 16 hours 33 minutes on the inner screen, up 14 percent. GSMArena's active-use score was 15 hours 45 minutes.

camera

The rear camera is a 200-megapixel wide, f/1.8, 23 mm, 1/1.56-inch sensor with PDAF and optical stabilization; a 50-megapixel 70 mm telephoto, f/2.7, 3x optical zoom with OIS; and a 50-megapixel ultrawide, f/2.0, 15 mm, 120-degree field. Front cameras are 20 megapixels on cover and inner displays in several spec tables. Android Central identified the main sensor as a Samsung HP5 and the 50-megapixel units as JN5 modules.

GSMArena logged AnTuTu near 2.63 million on version 10 and 3.50 million on version 11, Geekbench 6 around 6,538 in one combined figure, and 3DMark Wild Life Extreme at 7,114. Trusted Reviews published Geekbench 6 single-core about 3,571 and multi-core about 9,677. Notebookcheck praised the crease and battery but recorded heavy throttling under load and called the speakers mediocre.

OPPO describes the hinge as reducing height mismatch and acting like a structural spring against long-term panel warp. Reviewers treated that as the point of the generation: not a new app grid, but a fold you stop noticing.

What the N6 is not is a universal SKU. China, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam got prices. Large parts of Europe did not. The Verge's dust note and Notebookcheck's "not dustproof" line sit beside IP59 marketing. Night photos still trail OPPO's Find X9 slabs. The processor is missing a core versus full Elite Gen 5 phones.

What it is, on the published tests, is a 225-gram book fold with an 8.12-inch inner OLED, 6,000 mAh, 80-watt wired charging, a 200-megapixel main camera and a crease short enough that multiple labs used "nearly" or "practically" as the headline. That is the product. Distribution is the remaining question.
