The Originals
“The Originals” premieres on the CW Oct. 3. CW

Are you a female vampire who was a secretary in your former life? Well, then, update your resume, because “The Vampire Diaries” spinoff “The Originals” may need you!

The new CW series, which aired its backdoor pilot during the fourth season of “The Vampire Diaries,” is continuing to film and cast around New Orleans and Conyers, Ga. With a string of hot new stars set to star alongside “The Vampire Diaries” vets, “The Originals” still has an opening.

According to the Tammy Smith Casting Facebook page, the show is looking to add a “very hot and sexy woman” between 18 and 35 years old. The lucky lady to land the role will be playing a “hot vampire assistant” to one of the lead actors.

So far it's not a speaking role, but it will be featured heavily and may even be reoccurring. Tammy Smith Casting is looking for women of all ethnicities in the Conyers area (near Atlanta) that preferably have model or acting experience.

Tammy Smith has been busy filling minor roles for the coming season for “The Originals.” In early August the casting company said it was looking to hire a woman between 18 and 50 who resembled a “Vampire Diaries” character named Esther. For those unfamiliar with the character, Esther was the “original witch” and mother to the Original vampires. Esther tried to kill her children permanently, but failed and died at the hands of Alaric.

The role of Esther was originally played by Alice Evans, but it’s unclear if she will be appearing in the spinoff. Her on-screen husband, actor Sebastian Roché, will, however, be reprising his role as Mikael, father to the Original vampires. Like Esther, Mikael was killed in season 3, so it’s likely that he’ll be seen through flashbacks.

Other new characters to be introduced on “The Originals” are Celeste and Josh. As we previously reported, Celeste was a woman who became entangled with Klaus and Elijah in the 1800s. The character is said to have had a fondness for the brothers, and its currently unknown whether she’ll make an appearance in the modern day or if she’ll be visited through flashbacks. Josh, on the other hand, will definitely be featured in the present. The CW casting call described Josh as a “hot and naïve but curious gay tourist partying with friends in New Orleans.”

“The Originals” revisits the backdoor pilot from Elijah’s perspective on Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. EDT. The series will then move to a permanent time slot on the CW on Tuesdays at 8 p.m.
