The 94th Academy Awards will take place Sunday night at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre, recognizing the best films of 2021. If the latest betting odds are any indication, a few movies are expected to be among the big winners at the Oscars.

“The Power of The Dog” appears to be in line to take home the event’s biggest awards. Jane Campion's film is the favorite to win Best Picture with -125 odds at DraftKings Sportsbook. Campion is considered a virtual lock to win Best Director with -3500 odds.

If “The Power of The Dog” doesn’t win Best Picture, it’ll probably mean that “CODA” takes the award. “CODA” has the second-best odds at +100 to win the biggest prize. “Belfast” is a distant third with +1200 odds.

“Belfast” director Kenneth Branagh is the second favorite for Best Director with +1200 odds.

“CODA” and “The Power of The Dog” are also competing for Best Adapted Screenplay. With -175 odds, “CODA” is the favorite to win the Oscar.

The Academy Awards will likely be a big night for “Dune.” “Dune” is a -120 favorite to win best film editing. It would be surprising if “Dune” doesn’t win Best Visual Effects, considering it has -3500 odds to do so. The film is also a -360 favorite to win the award for Best Production Design.

Will Smith is expected to win Best Actor for the first time. The Hollywood megastar has -800 odds for his role in “King Richard.” Benedict Cumberbatch is his biggest challenger with +450 odds for his performance in “The Power of the Dog.”

Jessica Chastain is a -155 favorite to win Best Actress for her role in “The Eyes of Tammy Faye.” Nicole Kidman has +350 odds for her performance in “Being the Ricardos.”

Troy Kotsur has -400 odds to win Best Supporting Actor for his role in “CODA.” It’s almost viewed as a guarantee that Best Supporting Actress will go to Ariana DeBose (“West Side Story”) as she has -1600 odds to win the Oscar.

Other 2022 Oscar favorites include "Robin Robin" for Best Animated Short (-200), "Licorice Pizza" for Best Original Screenplay (-120) and "Encanto" for Best Animated Feature (-1000).
