“Outlander” is on hiatus, but the cast is still active on social media. They four leads have all made it clear that they support Black Lives Matter.

Jamie Fraser actor Sam Heughan has been in isolation amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, but he recently revealed to followers that he broke out of lockdown for an important reason: a Black Lives Matter protest.

Heughan took to Instagram on Sunday to share photos from a protest. “Standing in solidarity,” he wrote with a Scottish flag emoji. “Great turnout and peaceful but determined protest. Equality, justice for all.”

In parentheses, Heughan addressed the pandemic. While coronavirus is still a concern, the actor felt the fight for equality is worth the risk.

“Majority had masks and were being careful. Obviously hard to social distance in a crowd but everyone [was] very respectful. Was a tough decision to break lock down but felt we have to show our support and hopefully everyone is safe,” he added.

The “Bloodshot” star also added the hashtags #BlackLivesMatter and #blm.

Sophie Skelton, who plays Brianna on “Outlander,” matched her TV dad. She posted photos from a rainy London march where she held up a sign that read, “‘Matter’ is minimum. Black lives are precious.”

“We have failed before, let’s break the loop in history,” her caption said.

Heughan’s onscreen wife, Caitriona Balfe (Claire on “Outlander”), shared another message of support on Sunday. “I stand in solidarity with everyone protesting today .... we need change. The old systems do not serve. They never did. They must go,” she wrote. “Also want to highly recommend everyone read or listen to The 1619 project from Nikole Hannah Jones for The New York Times. A must read/listen. #blacklivesmatter”

Their co-star Richard Rankin, who plays Roger on “Outlander,” commented that he’d just finished the podcast Balfe recommended, calling it “brilliant.” He also shared a post on his own profile about “1745,” a movie detailing Scotland’s history with the transatlantic slave trade.
