Meghan Markle was reportedly “overwhelmed” with motherhood that she ran away to the Clooney’s mansion.

A week ago, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the arrival of their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. The rollercoaster of emotions, heightened attention, growing family rifts and stress were too overwhelming for the new mom, so Markle reportedly fled from Frogmore Cottage and stayed at George and Amal Clooney’s country mansion.

“He's begged her to move back and at least try to adjust to life at Frogmore, but Meghan insists that she needs complete privacy and seclusion, which she doesn't have at Windsor,” an insider told Woman’s Day.

The insider added that Markle wanted to stay at the Clooney’s estate because she can’t be “spied and watched” there.

George and Amal are away in Los Angeles, so Markle has free rein of the house. The human rights lawyer also made sure that the duchess would have a great stay at their home by leaving her house staff to wait on Markle. She also extended the invitation to Markle’s mom Doria Ragland.

Markle reportedly has her own kitchen, a little gym that she turned into a private yoga studio and a little nursery. For Markle’s convenience, Amal also kept her barely-worn baby clothes and handmade Italian crib and furniture to ensure that Markle has everything she needs to relax and enjoy her time with baby Archie.

“Amal even offered to jet in the twins' nanny, Connie Simpson, to be on hand if Meghan wants a break,” the insider added.

“Right now Meghan is just enjoying how secluded the estate is, and having the freedom of taking long walks through the gardens without worrying about people watching her.”

In related news, Markle is reportedly under supervision after leaving Buckingham Palace “horrified” when she issued a statement about her estranged father Thomas Markle Sr. in the run-up to her royal wedding. An insider said that the palace was surprised as a key part of being a royal is to never speak out when in doubt.

The new structure involving Prince Harry and Markle is reportedly not to control them. However, it’s a message for the couple to not let the good they do obscure the other royals since the family is “very hierarchical.”
