There aren't many realistic playoff scenarios for the Green Bay Packers with six weeks left in the 2022 NFL season. The Packers' playoff chances are almost gone following the team's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night.

Green Bay's record fell to 4-8 as the team was defeated 40-33 in Week 12. It was the Packers' seventh loss in eight games.

Aaron Rodgers left the contest prematurely with a rib injury. Rodgers was already dealing with a fractured thumb, playing well below his MVP level of the last two seasons.

The Packers have +1200 odds to make the playoffs at DraftKings Sportsbook. The New York Times' playoff simulator gives Green Bay a 5% chance of reaching the postseason, while FiveThirtyEight's model has the Packers' playoff chances at just 3%.

There's virtually no chance that the Packers will win a fourth straight NFC North title. The Minnesota Vikings lead the division with a 9-2 record. Unless the Vikings lose all of their remaining games and the Packers win out, Green Bay won't finish in first place.

Clinching one of the NFC's three wild-card berths is also a long shot. The Packers are three games behind the No. 7 seed Washington Commanders and 3.5 games behind the No. 6 seed New York Giants. Green Bay was defeated by both teams, giving them the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Packers.

The Seattle Seahawks are the first team out of the wild-card race and 2.5 games ahead of Green Bay. The Packers' playoff chances are so slim that Rodgers was asked about the possibility of shutting it down for the season if Green Bay is eliminated from postseason contention.

"There's obviously a lot of other conversations that come into play once you're eliminated and I'll be open to all those conversations," Rodgers told reporters Sunday night. "Pride comes to mind. Love of the game. But there's other factors that, obviously, would come into play should we be mathematically eliminated."

The Packers visit the Chicago Bears in Week 13 before a Week 14 bye. Green Bay is an early 2.5-point favorite in Chicago. The Packers might be favored in Week 15 against the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams, who have an even worse record than Green Bay.

Green Bay has won three straight division titles with three consecutive 13-win seasons. Since Rodgers became the Packers starting quarterback in 2008, Green Bay has only missed the playoffs three times.
