Meghan Markle had a funny reaction when she saw Patrick J. Adams naked in a play. The Canadian actor said he would love to invite his former co-star to watch his upcoming play.

Nearly a decade ago, during the first season of "Suits", Adams appeared in the Los Angeles production of "9 Circles," and Markle, who was his co-star at the time, was a part of the audience, he told Entertainment Tonight in an exclusive interview.

"She certainly was at the play where I was naked and she had a good time making fun of me after," he recalled. "So, maybe she'd like a repeat performance."

Adams announced that he would finally make his Broadway debut in a revival of Richard Greenberg's 2003 Tony-winning play "Take Me Out." The production faced a two-year delay due to the pandemic. He also shared that he would invite Markle to watch the play.

"I would love for Meghan to come and enjoy the show. I'll send her an invite for sure," he said.

Adams and Markle played love interests on "Suits" for nine seasons.

Adams starred as Mike Ross, who was a college dropout-turned-unlicensed lawyer, and Markle played the role of a paralegal.

The show wrapped up in 2019 after Markle married Prince Harry, but the two of them managed to maintain their friendship till now. Adams had earlier revealed that they keep in touch occasionally.

"We've texted a few times. We both started families at roughly the same time, obviously, her family has been a relatively high-profile one, but I'm super happy to have her back on this side of the water," Adams said while talking about Markle's move to Santa Barbara, California, with her husband and their son, Archie.

Markle gave birth to her daughter Lilibet in June last year. Adams and his wife, Troian Bellisario, welcomed their second child around the same time.

Adams at the time joked that he would "love" to coordinate a play date with Archie and his daughter, Aurora.

"I leave that in Meghan's court," he said. "She's incredibly busy, so hopefully time will allow, but I'm proud of everything they're doing. I think it's pretty great."

The actor also stood in solidarity with his former co-star amid allegations that she bullied her royal aides.

"She has always been a powerful woman with a deep sense of morality and a fierce work ethic and has never been afraid to speak up, be heard and defend herself and those she holds dear," he tweeted at the time.

Adams even criticized the royal family, claiming it was "at best complicated and at worst, seemingly archaic and toxic" and defended Markle, who faced "endless racist, slanderous, clickbaiting vitriol" from British media.
