Pete Davidson seemed prepared for the reception he would receive from local sports fans when he returned to Syracuse, New York, over the weekend, a report has suggested.

The "Saturday Night Live" star was at a men's basketball game at the Carrier Dome Saturday when the crowd booed him. This came three years after he called the city "trash" in an interview with Howard Stern.

"Pete seemed to be prepared for what was coming to him," an unnamed season ticket holder who attended the game between Syracuse Orange and Louisville Cardinals told Page Six. "He brushed it off and had a laugh, as did the locals."

Kim Kardashian's boyfriend tried to blend in with the spectators, the outlet noted. He kept a low profile by wearing a gray hoodie, sunglasses and a Cuse hat.

"Pete remained bundled throughout the game. Maybe because of the single digit temps," the tipster said, adding, "or perhaps because of the cold welcome from natives."

Entrepreneur and Syracuse athletics superfan Adam Weitsman accompanied Davidson during the game. Weitsman is known for inviting celebrity guests to sit courtside.

"During halftime, campus police escorted Pete up to Adam's suite, which cost approximately $1.3 million to renovate," another unnamed insider told the outlet. "Everyone was trying to follow them in, but they kept walking."

The duo reportedly left after halftime and dined at Funk 'n Waffles.

Syracuse basketball reporter Mike Curtis later shared a video message from Davidson via Twitter where the comedian offered a truce.

"Thank you so much for having me and my friends in the building," the "King of Staten Island" star said. "We had a really great time. So, peace?"

The video received mixed responses from social media users, with some calling out Davidson because he hasn't apologized for his remarks about the city.

"I'm trying not to boo him, but it is a challenge considering he never did apologize," one commented.

"I really love Pete Davidson, but I really didn't think he sounded sincere," another netizen wrote.

However, another Twitter user commented, "Why do people hate this kid so much? He doesn't seem that bad."

"People actually love him. And he's already defeated his biggest nemesis: Pete Davidson [laughing emojis]. No one can hurt him now," one fan wrote.

Davidson previously filmed 2019's "Big Time Adolescence" in the Syracuse area with Machine Gun Kelly, Sydney Sweeney and Jon Cryer.

"Dude, I was shooting this movie out in Syracuse. Syracuse, you know, it's trash," the Staten Island native said on "The Howard Stern Show" at the time. "Worse than Staten Island. The nicest hotel in Syracuse is, like, a f–king Ramada."

The comedian blasted the city again in 2019, telling Variety, "It sucks. The whole town of Syracuse blows."
