Pete Davidson is slowly getting rid the tattoos he got while he was still dating Ariana Grande.

On Saturday, tattoo artist Jon Mesa accidentally revealed that the stand-up comedian had the nape ink he got for the singer covered. The New York-based artist apparently shared a snap on Instagram showcasing Davidson’s new Tootsie Pop owl skin art. However, the snap also inadvertently featured the work done to alter the ink on the back of Davidson’s neck.

Davidson, 25, previously got a matching “Mille Tendresse” tattoo with Grande, also 25. But now that they have broken up, the “Saturday Night Live” cast member opted to cover his ink with the word “CURSED.”

It’s no secret that the “Big Time Adolescence” actor had his “Dangerous Woman” album art-inspired ink changed into a black heart after he and Grande called off their engagement, according to Us Weekly.

Davidson hasn’t completely removed traces of Grande on his body. He still has the “always” tattoo that’s written in Grande’s handwriting on his back. Whether he plans to keep it or not still remains unkown.

As for Grande, she has also had some work done to conceal the inks she got while she was engaged to her ex. The “7 Rings” hitmaker switched the “Pete” tattoo on her left finger for a black heart and the “reborn” ink on her thumb for a feather.

The news comes a day after Grande revealed that she had come up with an alternate version of her smash hit “Thank U, Next” in case she ended up with Davidson. The singer-actress disclosed on the “Zach Sang Show” that she recorded two alternate versions of the song.

“In my relationship [with Pete] at the time, things were like up and down and on and off, and so I didn’t know what was going to happen and then we got back together, so I had to make a different version of it, and then we broke up again, so we ended up going with that verse,” Grande, who dated Mac Miller before Davidson, said.

Grande isn’t romantically linked to anyone at present. On the contrary, Davidson has definitely moved on from their breakup as he is said to be casually romancing actress Kate Beckinsale, 45.

Pete and Kate were first spotted being flirty with each other at Netflix’s 2019 Golden Globes after-party in January. An onlooker revealed that the “Underworld” star was “very flirty” with the much younger Hollywood celeb and that they even shared a long hug before parting ways at the event.

A month later, the romance between the two has heated up, with Mirror reporting that Beckinsale and Davidson are planning a holiday together. The rumored couple reportedly wants to take their relationship further and get to know each other better, so they are going on a romantic break.
